Luke 5:4-6 “When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.”

Have you ever had one of those mornings where you are irritable, but not sure why? Yeah, that was how I was this morning. No reason for it, just agitated. I brought this to the Lord and was literally crying before the Lord, asking Him what was wrong with me. His answer caught me off guard, but it brought life to me and on my feet I went down to my Bible to study out what He said. The Lord instructed me to look up all the barren women in the Bible, I found there were 7 stated barren women in the bible. Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel, Manoah’s wife, Hannah, Michal, and Elizabeth. 6 out of the 7 of these women were barren because the Lord had shut their womb, but one was barren because she cursed herself (Michal, David’s wife) and she never bore children. As I looked into the lives of these 6 women, the Lord began to speak to me about what happens when the barren one gives birth.

  1. Sarah gave birth to Isaac and she was called the mother of nations, of whom kings would come from her. Isaac is in the lineage of Jesus and is one the three stated as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
  2. Rebekah gave birth to Jacob, who was later named Israel, who is of the lineage of Jesus and is one of the three stated as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
  3. Rachel gave birth to Joseph, who was the one that saved his family, the nation of Israel, and the world from a famine, because of his administrative skills.
  4. Manoah’s wife gave birth to Samson, who became the one who would deliver the Israelites from the Philistines.
  5. Hannah gave birth to Samuel, who was a prophet of whom none of his words fell to the ground, he anointed Saul and David as kings of Israel.
  6. Elizabeth gave birth to John the baptizer, who was the forerunner for Jesus the Christ.

People that have never been barren do not know the pain of barrenness, but those of us who have been barren know the pain, the provoking, and the pressure that comes with being barren. But one thing is for sure, ministry barrenness, no matter what you do, you cannot make yourself bear fruit, if God does not open your womb, your condition will not change. This is not a reason to blame God, or yourself, rather it is the mystery that we must wrestle out in prayer, until we hear from God on the issue.

Today I heard God speak and He said, “The barren are about to give birth!” The wait is over, the kingdom of God is at hand, the manifestation of the waiting is about to be revealed. For others they can go and do whatever they feel God telling them to do, but for us, we have been held back by God Himself for such a time as this. What we are about to give birth to is going to change the world forever. It is going to bring glory to God in an unprecedented way, because we could not have done this on our own, our barrenness proves that. Those that provoked you will praise Him, those who pressured you will see the reward of patience, those who were with you in the pain, will rejoice with you.

“Sing, O barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,” says the LORD. “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities. “Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood. For your Maker is your husband– the LORD Almighty is his name– the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth.” Isaiah 54:1-5

Crossing Over

Proverbs 4:7 says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.”

We live in a world where there is a lot going on. The news can barely keep up with everything that is happening, the church is struggling to speak into what they see and hear, and people are in a whirlwind of information. The good news is, God is not moved, He is not shaken, He is not nervous about everything the earth is experiencing. He is stable, He is secure, He is simple and He is aware of what is going on. So, if you want to know what is happening, take your seat in heavenly places (Ephesians 2), read your Bible, listen to the Lord speak, don’t tell your Bible what to say, let your Bible tell you what it says. You will hear His voice if you read until He speaks, and if you do this consistently, He will make you fully aware of what is going on. He is speaking constantly, and John 10 says, His sheep hear His voice.

What I see is we are in a time of transition, we are crossing over, for some the east wind is blowing and Moses type leaders are arising on the scene to lead people out of Egypt (debt, slavery and carnality). Israel and Christians who are living in Egypt are going to have their eyes open to the Moses type leaders in their midst. These leaders will lead those who are in Egypt out by a mighty move of God. You will see a dramatic deliverance take place for those Israelites and Christians that have been living in Egypt, under the rule of the taskmaster. Moses type leaders will lead the people out of Egypt, through the Red Sea and into the wilderness where they will experience supernatural provision. (I do not believe these people will be in the wilderness for 40 years, but they have to get Egypt out of them, so they can eventually live in the Promised Land). This deliverance will be done by the hand of God alone. Temples will be turned into tents as the church goes on the move. We will see our enemies no more. To learn more about this read Exodus 14 and beyond.

While the majority of the Israelites and Christians are going through this exodus across the Red Sea, there is a remnant of people who have already been through the wilderness with Moses. But Moses has died (Joshua 1) and these people have a new leader, his name is Yeshua (Jesus). These people have made it through the wilderness, have learned that Love Wins, see Jesus, and so do not need a Moses type leader to lead them. For you that have wondered why some people are leaving the church, it is not because they are anti-God, anti-authority, or anti-Church, but for them, they left Egypt, followed Moses into the desert, Moses died and they now see Jesus and He is the one they follow. This remnant of people are following Jesus and are crossing over the Jordan River into the Promised Land, a land flowing with milk and honey. They have not forgot what Moses type leaders have taught them, but they have a new leader. (See Isaiah 6 for another example of this). They are not lone rangers, they are a remnant and they meet, they talk and they are aligning themselves with the Spirit of God.

These mighty ones of valor are passing on before you, armed with the love of God (I John 4:4) and are going to possess the land (Matthew 6:10). Then they will return to the sunrise side of the Jordan where all the rest of the Israelites and the Church is, and bring them into the Promised Land. Once all of Egypt is out of the Israelites and the Church, they will have rest and the remnant will return so we can all live in the Promised Land together. (Joshua 1)

We are living in Bible days, if you have never read your Bible, or have not read it in a while, I suggest you read it, Old Testament, New Testament, it does not matter, Our Father is in it all, He is good, and He is in control of everything that is going on. No man is in charge of what we see, only God is, we must understand this is a time for modern warfare, our weapons are not carnal, (2 Cor. 10:5-7), we are called to stand and see the salvation of the Lord (Exodus 14:11-14 and Ephesians 6:10-18). We were born for such a time as this!

A Storm is Coming

5775AD, Christianity, Hebrew Year, Prophecy, Storm, Whirlwind

The year 2015 according to the Gregorian calendar, or 5775AD according to the Hebrew calendar is the Year of the Whirlwind. It is a year when everything is about to change, there is acceleration of events, for some it is going to be very exciting times, for others it is going to be very challenging times. The line is being drawn in the sand and you will be on one side or the other, when the winds blow.

I live in the Midwest and here we have a warning signal that goes off on the first Wednesday of the month at 1pm, as a test to make sure the signal is working and so people know what the warning signal sounds like. I believe God is sending warning signals to His people all over the world right now, telling them a storm is coming. We see it on the news with the rise of various terrorist organizations, we see it in our falling gas prices, we hear about it through events in Fergusson, MO; Paris, France; and Malaysian airplanes. Jonathan Cahn wrote about it in his book called the Harbinger, Mark Biltz speaks of it in his book called Blood Moons and the Bible is talking about in Luke 6:46-49.

The Bible tells us that we are to be able to understand the seasons we are living in. I believe we are living in the best of times and the worst of times. I also believe our choices determine which of these times we are and will be living in. But, God is giving us plenty of warning signals that the storm is coming, so we can make adjustments in preparation for the storm. If we can see the dark clouds forming, the wind picking up and can smell the rain, it is time to prepare for the storm.

I have known for a while and have been speaking that a storm is coming, but I never could pinpoint what it was going to do. Some people speak only judgment, while others speak only glory and good things, I was torn between the two thoughts, knowing it was both and, but unable to discern what the purpose of the storm was. Then today as I was reading my Bible, the Lord revealed to me that the storm is coming to reveal our foundation. Luke 6:46 says, “Why do you call me, Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say?” This is not a rhetorical question, Jesus is making a statement of truth, many call Him Lord, Lord, but very few actually do what He says. Jesus is asking us, right now, today, why do you call me Lord, Lord, (master, owner, authority) and not do what I say?

As I was meditating on this question, the Lord spoke to me and said, “It takes courage to follow Me”. Many people follow leaders, Pastors, other people they can see, but very few are following the Lord, for to follow Him takes courage. Jesus went on in this passage to describe 2 houses, one was built on a foundation, the other was built on the ground. To lay a foundation, you have to dig deep down to the rock, but to build on the ground, no digging is required, all you have to do is start building. Both are houses, both look the same on the outside, but when the storm hits, one will stand and the other will collapse.

A storm is coming, what you have built your house on will be seen, for the storm is coming to expose what is under the house, which most cannot see. Without discernment you cannot know what something is built on for it looks like a house to the naked eye, but the storm is coming and some houses will stand and others will collapse.

The foundation that will withstand the storm is relationship. Love relationship with the Lord, casts out fear (I John 4:18), builds trust, and produces obedience. The only foundation that will withstand the coming storm is one of love, for if you have not love, you are nothing (I Cor. 13:1-3) Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6) and faith works by love (Galatians 5:6), so you have faith, hope and love, but still the greatest of these is love (I Cor. 13:13). A storm is coming, but Love Wins!

double tornadoA Whirlwind Year 1.4.15

In the Hebrew calendar we are in the year 5775AD, which is the Year of the Whirlwind. 5 is the number of grace and 7 is the number of completion, which means we have double completion of grace this year. Daniel 4 confirms that grace has an expiration date, by revealing a prophetic word that was spoken over King Nebuchadnezzar and then in verse 28 says, 12 months later, an angel spoke the same word to him and immediately the word spoken had come to pass in his life. Grace has an expiration date and I believe we are coming upon that date this year. I believe God has been speaking to people about what He wants, even expects from them and he has given us a grace period to obey, but if we refuse to obey in the grace period, when grace expires discipline begins, so we can repent and be restored. (Daniel 4)

This year is going to be a whirlwind year, the Hebrew calendar says it is, the signs in the heaven are declaring it with the 4 blood moons, which mean change in a way that is unprecedented (I encourage you to study the 4 blood moons and what they are saying to the earth). Another sign in the heavens was the double tornado (whirlwind) that hit Nebraska in June 2014. Any time there is double it means it is going to happen. Jesus would say, truly, truly or in some versions, verily, verily I say unto you. I believe God is speaking through the prophets and the signs in the heavens, truly, truly this is the year of the whirlwind.

So, what does it mean, what can we expect in the year of the whirlwind? I believe the year of the whirlwind means everything is going to change and it is going to happen suddenly. The prophets in the land are speaking of acceleration, fast, sudden, swift change. When I was inquiring of the Lord about the year of the whirlwind, He reminded me of the movie the Wizard of Oz. Dorothy was in her house, when the whirlwind came and took her into a world she could not even have imagined or dreamed of. Her whole life changed forever. Elijah was taken up to heaven in a whirlwind. (2 Kings 2:1) Whirlwinds take everything and fling it to somewhere new. I believe the year of the whirlwind is going to usher in something brand new, that some have tried to put into words, but none of us can accurately articulate it.

The year of the whirlwind is going to be the end of one age and the beginning of another. Pastor Steve Gray said on Friday night, we serve a God of endings and beginnings. He went on to say, we cannot have a new beginning without something coming to an end. I believe we are on the tail end of one age and on the precipice of another. This end is going to mean a season of discipline for some who did not repent (change the way they think), and a season of rewards for others who endured the flames of the last season and came out as vessels of honor as Frank Seamster said just this week. Gold must go through the fire in order to withstand any fire. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were made of gold, so they came out of the fire without even the smell of smoke (Daniel 3).

The signs are in the heavens, the words of the prophets are in the earth, so what is God telling you do, repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand! Do what he has told you to do, no matter what personal cost it will be to you. This is the year of the whirlwind, we are about to see everything change, forever, these are incredibly exciting times we are living in and it is going to be very very good for the people of God, so repent, heed the warnings you are hearing and get ready for a whirlwind year.
