Promises in the word of God are things God has said He would do, therefore all we have to do is say yes and amen to the glory of God. The Lord revealed a promise this morning in prayer that I am asking you to join me in giving a big Yes and Amen to.
Psalm 125:3 “For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous, So that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong.”
Yes Lord break the scepter of wickedness off our land, off our families, off our churches, off our government, off our schools, off our businesses, off our nation! We say yes and amen to the glory of God!
2 Corinthians 1:20 “For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.”
Just a quick reminder, the devil is so dumb that he waited until Jesus had spent 40 days alone in fasting and prayer before he “tempted” Him. Next time the enemy flex’s his muscles around you, remember he’s an idiot. No need to speak with, entertain or engage with a being that is so far beneath you. James said it this way, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Your dealing with a coward, even a little courage spooks him. There’s nothing impressive about him so no need to be intimidated by him. Move on. Jesus did!
Matthew 4:1-3 “Then Jesus was led out into the wilderness by the spirit to be tested by the devil. He fasted for forty days and forty nights, and at the end of it was famished. Then the tempter approached him.”
Some people are the fulfillment of prophecy. They didn’t apply for this position, God chose them for it. It is important that we are careful how we speak against things we do not understand. Prophetic words from God, though they tarry, will always come to pass. The challenge most of us face is not that we don’t believe prophecy, but we struggle when it manifests in a person that maybe we wouldn’t have chose. more people are being chosen to fulfill prophecy even at this moment. Our job is not to determine whether we like who God chose or not, but rejoice in the truth that every prophetic word comes to pass. Remember Mary!
Matthew 1:20-24 “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: “BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD AND SHALL BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL,” which translated means, “GOD WITH US.” And Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took Mary as his wife.”
King David said in Psalm 51, search me and know me and see if there be any wicked way in me. The other day as I was reading John 14-16 it spoke about the Holy Spirit being the spirit of truth. That means if I am filled with the Holy Spirit I am filled with truth, for the Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth Jesus said. Therefore, when I put the two together the Lord invited me to pray…
Search me and know me and see if there be any lie in me.
This prayer has brought about powerful results for me. It has shown me something I was intimidated by and when I saw it I confessed it and it left me; then the Lord showed me how I know the history of God and the future prophesies of God but the lie was around the God who is, the now God. I saw the lie, confessed it and now I am freer than I have ever been.
Lies go undetected in us because they are embedded in our theology, our personality, our history or our culture. We can’t see them but God can. He is the spirit of truth but we must partner with truth to dispel the lies so we can be free!
It’s a simple but powerful prayer the Lord had me pray and the results are manifesting everywhere for me and I want the same for you. I invite you to pray…
Search me and know me and see if there be any lie in me.
John 8:32 “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free!
Deborah is headed onto the battlefield today and though we know the victory is secure we still must pray. When you pray knowing the outcome, your prayers sound more like praise, like thanksgiving, like worship. Worship routes the enemy and is just more evidence of victory. Pray for our Deborah today and as you cry out for your own needs remember the battle is already won so your prayers can sound more like worship than worrying.
Judges 4:4-5 “Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time. She used to sit under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim; and the sons of Israel came up to her for judgment.”
2 Chronicles 20:22 “At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the LORD caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves.”
When you know who you are in the spirit you don’t need to compete in the games of the flesh. #insidestrong
1 Samuel 16:7 “But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
I got word this week that some people had set up a tent city at city hall here in Kansas City. The first words out of my mouth to that information was, “Not in my city!” This morning I went right to their camp on the steps of city hall with shofar in hand.
I entered from the top of the steps and went down into the camp not knowing this was a backdoor entrance, for they have three gatekeepers at the front door. I was stopped by a young adult age man who had a vest on that said, witness and he carried a clip board. He welcomed me and then said I can’t take pictures of people’s faces without permission and I was not allowed to walk about the tent camp.
I said to him, you’re telling me I can’t walk on my cities property because the squatters now claim it’s their’s? He said I am not commanding you I am requesting you not do it. We then talked a bit and I asked him what they are doing here and if he realized how the nations view these tent cities? He said no, so I shared how the nations are all watching us for they want to be like us and now we are living like them. I shared with him how foolish we look around the world. He listened until we started discussing police brutality and I said, I have a friend who is a police officers. This changed his whole attitude, now I was not welcome here.
I walked around looking at the mess they created and the disrespect they are manifesting. He was following me and so I turned and asked him, I thought you don’t want police control and yet you are policing me by following me. He paused and I said, the hardest thing about hypocrisy is that we can’t see it in ourselves. He went at sat down and left me alone.
I observed what was being said, projected and seeking to be established and what I realized is that we as the church are the government of our land, and the enemy is a squatter. Secondly, I realized we must go right to the gate of the issue and dismantle it not with words to people but prayers to God and the sound of the shofar.
I headed back to the top of the hill so I could stand on city hall land, right next to the police headquarters in the government district to blow the shofar. But it was 8am and I wasn’t coming to make a scene so I prayed, decreed and waited for the time to release the sound of the shofar, which to sleeping tent dwellers would not be a pleasant wake up sound.
As I waited at one point with shofar in hand I raised my hand and immediately I hear the sound of fire engine sirens. I knew this was the time to blow the shofar. I blew and blew so the sound of the shofar blended with the siren coming down the street toward me. When I stopped the siren stopped and the fire truck driver smiled at me and I smiled at him with a thumbs up. Only God can coordinate that. It was pumper 8!
I walked away with a spring in my step knowing the Lord God Almighty is now released to dismantle this demonic confederacy in the air over our city so those people can go back home. A special thanks to those who knew I was there and were praying along as I went to the gate.
Ephesians 6:10-12 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Matthew 16:18-19 “Upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.”
We reveal Jesus’ value to us by what we do for Him. Others may see (or smell) how much we value Him. Mary revealed Jesus’ value with her wealth (perfume) and her glory (hair is a woman’s glory scripture says). The more you know someone the more you value them. It’s hard to devalue someone you know intimately. Mary, Martha and Lazarus were intimate friends with Jesus. Is it any wonder she showed Him so much value?
John 12:3 “Mary took a pound of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She anointed Jesus’s feet with it, and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the smell of the perfume.”
