In January 2015, Prophetess Cindy Jacobs gave her prophetic word to the nations for the year 2015 and she said it is a year of Divine Turnaround. When the word came out many were thinking it was the year of financial turnaround, relationship turnaround, healing turnaround or any other thing in their life that they needed turned around. I too was thinking what I needed turned around in my life and have been believing for that all year long.

Last night while at a city wide prayer meeting here in Kansas City, a less well known prophetess got up and reminded us that this is the year of divine turnaround. While praying over this word again this morning, the Lord began to speak to me about the turnaround He is looking for from His people. He said, “If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land” (2 Chronincles 7:14). The Lord said, “This is the year of turnaround, but the responsibility lies with My people turning from their wicked ways”. So, I inquired of the Lord further on what wicked ways He was referring to and this is what I heard.

We are being summonsed to turn, to turn from darkness to light; from selfishness to servanthood; from debt to prosperity; from hate to love; from lies to the truth; from the kingdom of Satan to the kingdom of God; from death to life; from sin to righteousness; from sickness to healing; from rebellion to authority; from idols to the living God.

Many people have prayed a prayer, but they have not changed kings. In I Kings 18, Elijah was on Mt. Carmel having a showdown with the prophets of Baal, because they people did not want to decide who they were going to follow. In Joel 3:13-15 it says, “Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread, for the wine press is full; The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. The sun and moon grow dark And the stars lose their brightness.…”

It is past time to make your decision about who you are going to follow. The battles lines are drawn, the war is about to begin, and God is about to release a verdict on some long overdue issues, the prayers of the saints are full, they are about to tip over onto the earth, the answers are coming and where you stand will determine what you receive. Indecision is wickedness to God, that is why He is calling us to turn from our wicked ways. His mercy triumphs over judgment, which is why there have been so many prophetic warnings being sounded from the influential and the unknown. Time is running out in the valley of decision, on Mt. Carmel, it is time to decide which kingdom you are going to join, which king you are going to follow.

Zechariah 4:10 “…the plumbline is in the hand of Zerubbabel…”

2 Chronicles 20:20 “Believe in the Lord your God and you shall be established; believe and remain steadfast to His prophets and you shall prosper.” This is the year of the Divine Turnaround, thanks Cindy Jacobs, may we heed the word of the Lord from your mouth.

Vain Imaginations

2 Corinthians 2:5 (The Voice Translation) “We are demolishing arguments and ideas, every high-and-mighty philosophy that pits itself against the knowledge of the one true God. We are taking prisoners of every thought, every emotion, and subduing them into obedience to the Anointed One.”

In the Hebrew Calendar, we are in the month of Av, this month is represented by the Tribe of Simeon, and has been said to be a month in which keys to reverse the curse are released. Now for some people this can be a bunch of rhetoric, but for me, this month has proved to be exactly what it says it is. It is a key giving, curse reversing, kind of month. What God has been showing me in just this first week of this Hebrew month of Av is blowing my natural mind, exciting my spiritual mind and healing my soul.

Since God is omniscient, meaning He is all knowing, He knew we were going to be born in this time in history, He knew we would be having the challenges personally and corporately that we are having, and He decided in His omniscience to have us be alive for such a time as this. So, God is not moved, nor surprised by anything that is going on in us, through us, or even around us, personally, nationally or internationally. Do you agree?

So, since this is all TRUTH, then where is the lie that is keeping us powerless, keeping us bound, keeping us locked up, held back, etc.? The problem is not with God, He is bigger than we can even comprehend, He is more powerful than we recognize, and He is more loving than we believe, so the issue lies with our vain imaginations. Somewhere inside of us, we have come to believe a lie, which when we come into agreement with it, becomes a stronghold and hinders what God wants to do in us and through us. Stay with me.

Yesterday, I was watching a sermon by John Paul Jackson and the Lord was speaking directly to me through this man of God. The Lord showed me that I have lived with a stronghold of believing what others have said about me. Now for me, it was a spirit of intimidation that I come into agreement with. This spirit of intimidation eroded at my confidence and kept me in the realm of knowing and even understanding, but not believing. Believing is putting our whole weight on God, it is not doubting, fearing, or even flinching when an attack comes because you know what He said and He is not a man that He should lie. So, I would second guess myself, that I heard clearly, or that I was really as up to date as I thought I was when it came to obedience.

Why is this significant, because the intimidator kept me from believing what God was saying about me, and in doing so it kept me from receiving what God wants to pour out on me. I am not a mistake, God knew the personality He gave me, the body type I would have, everything about me and He called me to be a mouthpiece for Him. I did not ask for, have an opinion about or get to give advice on any of these things. He made me like this and He likes what he made, He actually said it is very good. So, my vain imagination was that I did not like what He made and some others have not either, so I tried to dumb it down, shut it up, tone it down, and in doing so, I came into agreement with the intimidator to stay down, and this is a vain imagination that exalted itself over the knowledge of God.

I don’t know what stronghold you are stuck in and honestly you probably don’t either, for the enemy is very subtle and sneaky. But this I do know, the mystery of why things are not working is in the history and as we allow the Lord to look into our history, and show us the lie that has us locked up, we will be given keys that will reverse the curse in our own lives, so we can cast down vain imaginations in the lives of those we love. I’m free and now I see and agree with who God has made me to be. It’s about to get really fun!

Don’t Miss the Door

open doorMark 1:27 “They were all amazed, so that they debated among themselves, saying, what is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”

If you have done any airline travel, you know that the gate is open long before the door to your airplane is open. Actually the airplane door is only open for about 15 minutes, just long enough for the waiting passengers to board the plane and get seated. Once the airline door is shut, there is no more getting on the airplane and if you miss your plane, you have to wait for the next available plane.

This analogy depicts a similar reality for us as believers, doors of opportunity open to us, but if we don’t enter when the door is open, that door will shut and we will need to wait for the next door to open. As I was meditating on this thought this morning, I heard in my spirit, don’t miss the door. It was repeating over and over again in my spirit, don’t miss the door. The door, when it opens, has to be walked through, or you will have to wait for the next door to open.

If you are one that has come through the wilderness, feel like you are in or have gone through the Jordan, but have not seen or heard the open door as of yet, it can be easier to miss the open door, for you have gotten so used to waiting. Waiting has stages just like anything else. When we first start waiting, we are checking in to see when our door is going to open, we are anxious, ready to go now, and for many we are in a hurry. As the waiting goes on, we start to get irritated, our attitude goes South, we blame someone or something for the delay and we try to force the door open. Then we come to the stage where we are just exhausted from waiting and resolve we have no control over how long this will take and we sit quietly and wait and wait and wait.

I hear in my spirit, don’t miss the door. You may have been waiting a long time, so long you have gotten complacent in waiting, thinking it may never open and have convinced yourself that is okay, and you may even believe this is contentment. But I hear the Spirit of God saying, don’t miss the door. The wait has been long, the journey has been tiring, and we are with you. Don’t miss the door.

When the people of Jesus’ day saw that He could cast out unclean spirits and teach with authority, they debated among themselves, what did they debate about? The scripture doesn’t say, but my thought is they debated if this was the long awaited Messiah. If we are not careful, we can debate ourselves out of going through the door. Jesus was right there and many missed the door, because they had waited so long and were busy debating whether this was the door. We do the same thing.

We have heard the prophecies, we know the promises God has spoken over us, but remember, it may come in a mustard seed form, so all I can share is what I hear, don’t miss the door.

The Exchange

The Exchange 12.23.14

Mark 8:36-37 says, “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? For what will a man give in exchange for his soul?”
Earlier this month the President of the United States exchanged some Cuban prisoners for some American prisoners with the President of Cuba. This exchange came as a result of a reconciliation between Cuba and the United States. Some people that commentate on the President of the United States decisions, said this was a terrible exchange, they even went on to say, we got the short end of the stick. A couple weeks later my mom told me that she went and exchanged her old pair of shoes that were falling apart for a brand new pair of shoes, at a very small cost to her. In America we understand the idea of being able to make an exchange. If you get a Christmas gift you don’t like this week, you can exchange it for something else, with usually very little hassle.

Other countries do not understand exchange in the sense of being able to return something to a store for a similar product or a cash refund. While I was in Malaysia, they would not return anything, once you bought it, it was yours, there is no return, nor exchange policy in that country. As an American who is used to being able to make a mistake and have it corrected by the store, I had to learn to think clearly before I bought anything, for there was no making an exchange, once I handed that money over to the clerk.

As Christians, we have been taught that the greatest exchange the world has ever known is the exchange of Jesus’ life for our sins. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” God gave His life in exchange for our sins, this is the greatest exchange that was made for us and we have been taught this from before we were saved. However, there is another exchange, that is very rarely talked about, but needs to be addressed, it is the worst exchange.

As Christians, who are recipients of the greatest exchange, we make some of the worst exchanges. We exchange the kingdom of God for our religious traditions; we exchange our family members for our ministries or jobs; we exchange our health for food that tastes good; we exchange God’s thoughts for our thoughts; we exchange trust for independence; we exchange the glory of God for the approval of men; we exchange the love of God for immorality. The list could go on and on, but the reality is, we make exchanges that are costing us the very life Jesus gave us.

During this Christmas holiday and New Year, I pray you would begin to think about what you are exchanging for life. People exchange death for life everyday, because they do not want to listen, learn, obey, change. It is not always comfortable nor convenient to live, that is why most people choose chocolate over chick peas; or religion over relationship. Jesus said, “Repent, for the kingdom of God is here!” Repent is a call to change the way you think, it is an invitation to exchange your ways for His ways.
My prayer is that we together, would stop exchanging death for life, so we could embrace the kingdom of God that is here. It takes changing the way you think and that can only happen, by spending time in the word of God and spending time with the God of the word. Merry Christmas my friends!

Believe, Character, Christianity, church, Doctorate Level, Trainining

Many people, myself included, have been in training for the next move of God for a long time. Some just started and they are being given opportunities before me, as I inquired about this, the Lord said, some positions, only need a High School diploma, while others need a Bachelors, Masters or even a PhD. Depending on the level of leadership the Lord is going to have you be involved in is determined by the amount of schooling you need for that position. I have been in this training period for 14 years. 4 years in revival training, 9 years in desert training in Malaysia and now going on 2 years in more training.

At times it can feel like God has forgotten you, or that you have missed the mark, some may even think they have sinned, or been passed over, but the Lord told me that it is training for the position He has prepared for you. God knows how much we can handle, He knows what we will steward well without falling out of love with Him, He knows us so well, so He is training us based on His knowledge of us. But, what are we being trained in. Most people that go to school are looking for a position, more money, a title, upon their completion of school, but with God and His kingdom, that is not what He is after.

Completion on whatever level in the kingdom of God is going to have you coming out with an understanding of the character of God. We are not being trained how to plant a church, run great board meetings, or even how to write and present a sermon, rather the training we are in is for the understanding of the character, the unchanging nature of God. Many people are trained in programs, we are being trained in the character of a person, Yahweh, Jehovah, Elohim, the I AM.

I just had a class with God on the subject of His goodness. He told me that He can only be good. I said, how is that possible, He said, I have no other option but to be good, I have given myself no other choice. He went on to say, Satan can only be bad, he can only do evil, he was created this way, he has no other choice, but to do evil. I said, then how am I created in Your image if you don’t have a choice, but I do. The Lord said, I had to create you with a choice between believing Me or believing Satan, because if I did not give you a choice, but just made you like me, then it is not love.

The Lord went on to explain to me that we are the most powerful creation He made, because we are the only ones who have a choice. We do not have a lot of choices, we have 1 of 2 choices. We can choose God or Satan, good or evil, blessings or curses, life or death, love or hate. (Deuteronomy 28). He gave us the power of choice, because love demands we choose. I was blown away by this revelation. God can only do good, He only thinks good things about me, He only has good things planned for me. (Jeremiah 29:11). This understanding of God has revolutionized my life, because now I know the source of thoughts and realize more clearly the enemies goal is to get me to doubt the goodness of God. Oh the lessons being learned as I am getting a PhD. In the character of God.

Afflicted Arise and the Threshed Thresh

Believe, Blessings, Christianity, Empowerment, Threshing floor; kingdom of God

For the past two or more weeks I have been stumped as to what to do with what I am hearing God say. One on hand I am hearing about a major transfer of wealth, blessings like we have only dreamt of and a billion soul harvest. Then on the other hand I am hearing of an inevitable looming judgment on the nations of the world, America being one of them. With these two seemingly opposing thoughts happening simultaneously in my heart, I was not sure what to write. So, I turned to my friend Prophet Ron McGatlin for counsel, I heard from my friend Prophetess Maureena Summers, and I studied the words they were sharing in scripture myself. And this is what I have learned.

Isaiah 21:10 says, Oh my threshed people, and my afflicted of the threshing floor! What I have heard from the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, I make known to you.”

The first thing I learned is that the threshing floor is where everyone will go, is already, or will come one day. For the threshing floor is a place of judgment and blessing, it is where the grain is separated from the stalk and where the chaff is blown away. So, we are on the threshing floor, awaiting our turn to be threshed. But, what you are doing on the threshing floor is what amazes me.

Micah 4:13 says, “Arise and thresh, daughter of Zion! Your horn I will make iron, your hoofs I will make bronze, That you may pulverize many peoples, That you may devote to the LORD their unjust gain And their wealth to the Lord of all the earth.”

Those who have been afflicted on the threshing floor in the last season (Isaiah 21:10) are to arise and thresh in this new season that is upon us (Micah 4:13). We are to pull the gold and grain out of the harvest that the Lord is bringing to the threshing floor. Those who have been threshed in affliction, now thresh those on the threshing floor. To present them to the Lord as gold and grain.

What afflicted us with bless them. While others threshed us harshly and we produced grain and gold, we get to bless others with our victories and authority. We get to pull the gold out of them with I Corinthians 13 love, even though our threshing floor experience was not that way. We that have been threshed, get to be the new wineskin, so the new wine will not spill out. What we wanted while we were being threshed, we get to be to those who are about to be threshed.

The harvest is coming to the threshing floor, so the afflicted arise and the threshed thresh, because LOVE WINS!

Abraham’s Understanding of Faith

Image Romans 4:20-21 says, “He didn’t doubt God’s promise out of a lack of faith. Instead, giving honor to God [for the promise], he became strong because of faith 21 and was absolutely confident that God would do what he promised.”

Abraham is fondly known to many religions around the world as the Father of Faith. Preachers around the world have shared on the subject of faith, for it is the foundation stone on which the church is built. Many have presented impeccable theological understandings about faith; while others have used some of the most creative means to describe faith. So, with so many great teachings on the subject, it is somewhat intimidating to put out in print, yet another explanation of such a tried, tested and time rich topic. Yet, the depths of this subject are as deep and wide as God, Himself, so there may be no end to the talking points related to this subject, therefore, the decision to bring one more swing at the subject prevailed.

Two primary points jumped out of this text in Romans 4, which is what compelled me to write my perspective on Abraham’s understanding of faith. This is not an exhaustive list, it is just an addition to the wealth of information of the subject. Faith has 2 primary components to it, one faith believes and two faith produces.

1. Faith believes in the face of the facts.

The fact is Abraham was 99 years old when the angel of the Lord told him, he was going to have a son. Now I know some people think 99 years old was not actually 99 years old back then since they lived so long, but the days of man’s life was cut to 70 after the flood and Abraham was born after the flood, so 99 years old then is the same as 99 years old now. 99 years old, my grandma is 99 years old, she can barely make it, with her walker from the couch to the kitchen table to eat lunch, the dude was 99 years old. This is the fact. Romans 4:19 says, He did not weaken in faith when he considered the impotence of this own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or the barrenness of Sarah’s womb.” Not only was Abraham impotent, 99 years old, nearly dead, Sarah was 87 years old and had been barren all her life. The facts were almost comical, no wonder Sarah laughed!

When we look at the facts of our situation, whatever it may be, in light of the facts of Abraham and Sarah’s situation, it really puts in perspective, that if they could believe God for the miracle of a child who came from Sarah’s 87 year old body, how much more can we believe God for that job, that spouse, that baby, that breakthrough. It is an insult to talk to God about our problems without faith, when Abraham and Sarah had plenty of factual reasons to debate with God about this promise He was giving to them.

2. Faith produces.

Faith produces everything we need in order to get the promise God has spoken to us. Faith produces strength, Abraham and Sarah needed supernatural strength to come together as husband and wife, so they could produce what they believed God was promising them. This was no an intellectual ascent they were making, this took some physical activity. They experienced the strength that faith produces.

Faith produces empowerment for success. God released a supernatural empowerment that opened Sarah’s womb, he released the empowerment that both Abraham and Sarah needed in order to produce a child. God is in the empowerment business. We quit so easily we do not recognize or tap into God’s empowerment, because when our strength runs out we quit, but there is a whole other level of strength that comes if we don’t quit to early. God loves to empower us for success, but it takes faith to keep going, when you want to quit, in order to step into the empowerment that comes through faith.

Faith believes in the face of the facts, faith produces strength, faith produces empowerment and as we praise and glorify God, the result will be full satisfaction and assurance of God’s ability to do what He said He would do. Abraham and Sarah have experienced a faith that produces, because they believed. Abraham understands faith and he wants us to understand it as well, but it takes us doing something that we do not think we can do, until you step out, you will not see the power of God at work in your faith.
