seis·mic

relating to earthquakes or other vibrations of the earth and its crust.

  • relating to or denoting geological surveying methods involving vibrations produced artificially by explosions.
  • of enormous proportions or effect.

I see a seismic shift coming to the Body of Christ. It is a shift on a proportion not seen in our generation up to this point. It started that day Jesus died when the tectonic plates shifted and the earth began to quake (Matthew 27:50-52), it had its first manifestation with the sightings of the resurrected Christ (1 Corinthians 15:6), the outpouring of the spirit on the day of Pentecost and the birth of the church in Acts 2. It has been building momentum since Peter and John healed the man at the gate beautiful (Acts 3). It refused to be stopped at the stoning of Stephen in Acts 7, but gained momentum when Saul became Paul in Acts 9. Then it progressed with the planting of Apostolic Centers in Jerusalem, Caesarea, Antioch and beyond. Josephus wrote about it in his historical records of that day, the church fathers tried to describe it by making it a creed or a doctrine, but it is so much bigger than that. Tyndale and Guttenberg accelerated it when they took the Word of God out of the hand of certain people and put it into the hands of all people. Can you see how this has been building over the years. Setbacks became set ups; hindrances became hemi power; persecution became promotion of the gospel of the kingdom; Marie Woodworth-Etter carried it, William Seymour preached it, John G. Lake manifested it, John Wimber and Billy Graham advanced it, Kenneth Copeland and Myles Munroe promoted it, and many today are speaking it, but all of that was only is a glimpse, for what is coming is glory!

This seismic shift is going to do immeasurably more than you could ever ask for or even think (Ephesians 3:20); we are living in the days of Noah, yes there is water coming on a level that will blow your mind, and just like in the days of Noah it is going to wash away evil, but this time, this wave is not going to only save 8 people, it is going to save whole nations; this wave of glory has been building for over 2,000 years not to destroy us but to redeem us. This seismic shift is going to change the nations on a level that many cannot even dream of, it is going to change the way we think, it is going to wash away the ceilings of unbelief and launch you into realms of faith that you did not know existed. Small minded thinking is going to be washed away and believing that anything is possible will be released. The years of disappointment are going to be replaced with dreams and desires God has put in you are going to become a reality. We are going to shift from the evangelistic approach that tells people that they need Jesus to people coming to you and asking who is your God?

The seismic shift is going to reveal to us the reality of how much we possess and call us to increase our occupation. As children of Abraham, we were promised many things we have not occupied, but as you realize how much you have been given as a possession, but have yet to occupy, it will ignite a passion in you to occupy until He comes (Luke 19:13). Once you see how much God has for you, it will cause faith to arise in you and your desire to obey will come from His goodness, not from fear of punishment. When God reveals His goodness on you, it will soften your heart; give you the grace to surrender, knowing He is good, really good; and will draw you near to Him not push you away from Him; His generosity on you is going to break the spirit of lack, which is rooted in an orphan spirit; His goodness is going to propel you into your possession.

This seismic shift is going to start as a sound that comes out of me and you, then it will be seen on us, in and through us. I’m ready for the seismic shift, are you? Ready or not, here it comes!

Seeding the Atmosphere

church, prayer, Prophecy, prophetic words, Prophets, Religion

Have you ever been in church and knew you had a word from God for that moment, but there was no room given to speak forth that word in this current system we call church? Have you ever wanted to grab the microphone and share something the Lord was showing you, knowing it would be a blessing to the church? Have you ever followed the proper protocol to submit the word to the leadership, but that word was not allowed to be released from the microphone for whatever reason? For prophetic people this happens quite often. For people that can hear the voice of God, they hear Him a lot in worship, and rightfully so, for Paul said, “What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up” (1 Corinthians 14:26, NIV). So, there is biblical precedence for your word being spoken, unfortunately, more often than not, there is no room for it, so what do you do? Many prophetic people have gotten offended because they have not been given the microphone to speak their prophetic word and because of that offense, “A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city, and contentions are like the bars of a castle” (Proverbs 18:19, NKJV). Many prophetic people have left the church, so the church is without a prophetic voice. But in this hour, God is restoring the prophetic voice to the church!
One of the things God has been doing with His apostles, prophets and teachers in this past season is training them in righteousness. This training has been taking place on the back side of the desert, in the secret place, in the caves and crevices where no one can see you or hear you, publicly. The Lord has been healing both religious and relationship wounds in His emerging leaders. The Lord has been developing their character and in a word making them mature. The reason for this long season of maturing His rising leaders is because according to Ephesians 4:11-13 “And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ” (NASB). As a leader you will make people who are like you, so if you are not mature, the people who look to you as a leader will not become mature, because they become who you are not what you say. Therefore, God is calling us to maturity, that is why His emerging leaders needed to mature, so they can lead the Body of Christ into maturity.
Now back to the prophets, God is releasing mature prophets back into the church, but most people, if not all people have no idea the function you are fulfilling, but you do. So, as the Lord speaks to you, giving you a word to speak in that moment, if there is no room for you to share that word from the microphone, we need to remember that as prophets our words carry authority and that authority is increased or diminished by the microphone, it is only amplified. Therefore, speak the word God gave you, even if you are not given a microphone, speak it into the atmosphere in prayer, your words are powerful, they are seeding the atmosphere. When you seed the atmosphere with what God is saying, someone else will say what you seeded into the atmosphere because your words are full of authority. It takes maturity to not need to get the credit for a word God gave you. Maturity is knowing that the word is from God not from you, so if you have to seed the atmosphere in prayer, because there is no room on the microphone, it does not change the truth that God’s word is going to be spoken and He is going to get the glory. This is how prophetic people can stay in the church without getting offended, they must remember the word did not originate with them, so it does not matter who amplifies it. Seed the atmosphere with your prophetic words, speak them out, even if people can’t hear them, the atmosphere does and God will get the glory. You carry authority, your words have power, speak prophet speak, even if your words are not amplified, you are still seeding the atmosphere.

Victor or Victim

Choice, Politics, Religion, Victim, Victory

In a culture that is moved daily by the political atmosphere in which we live, many opinions, thoughts, ideas and prophesies are coming forth as to what God is doing in this season. Many are watching the news, then Christianizing their thoughts, others are echoing the media and still others are being influenced by the culture whether they realize it or not. You cannot live on earth and breath its air without being affected by the culture. So, if you find yourself involved in or frustrated by political conversations that you never engaged in before now, it is because of the culture we live in. We all are having reactions to what is being spewed on social media, television media, newspaper media and every other form of communication. If you are alive, you are hearing something about the politically charged climate we are in. And may I say, I think we need to engage with, rather than disengage from culture. However, we need to listen more than we speak, lest we echo what the culture is saying even if we add a scripture verse or prophetic word with it.

With that being said, I believe if we strip away all that we are seeing and hearing in our culture, and tune our ears to the Lord, we can hear his voice, which always gives us a choice. The thing I love about God is that he always has two options we can choose from. There were two trees in the garden, they were told what to choose, but they still had to choose. Joshua says in Deuteronomy that we have the choice between life and death, then he encourages us to choose life, but knows we have to make our own choice. May I suggest we have yet again a choice to make, not based on a party affiliation, or even between the lesser of two evils. It is obvious both candidates have character flaws, moral issues and places where they are far from righteous, but so do I, and so do you. Therefore, I do not believe we are voting for any of these issues, rather we are voting for either a victim mentality or a victor mentality.

Which candidate you ascribe to which mentality is up to you, but I believe this is where we are as Americans, do we want to be a victim or a victor? Now, no matter what candidate Americans choose, it will not change my choice. I have chosen to be a victor, because nowhere in Scripture do I hear a call to be a victim, but I do see many Christians who have taken on this role of the victim. The victim believes they have no authority to change their situation, no ability to come out of what they are in, nobody to give them a break. But the victor reminds themselves that Greater is He that is in them than He that is in the world. The victor says, I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. The victor decrees, I am more than a conqueror and nothing is impossible for my God. The victim sees no hope for the future, the victor see’s the challenges in front of them and see’s the victory on the other side of those battles.

As believers, we are commanded to be victorious, we say it with our words, but do we believe it. We have to choose who we are going to be, what we are going to believe, are you a victim or a victor? Are you going to make excuses for everything that has happened in your life, or are you going to rise up and walk? The choice is yours. No matter who America votes for, whether for the victor or the victim, I am a victor and I will have more of a battle on my hands if the culture chooses to stay a victim, but it will not change my choice to be a victor. I know the end of the book says we win, but when I listen to the spirit of God right now, He says, YOU WIN, I WIN. We don’t have to wait til we die to win, we can be victorious now, by saying No to ungodliness and yes to the KING OF KINGS and the LORD OF LORDS. Victim or victor? Who are you going to be?  As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord, who wins! Remember, Jesus wears the victors crown!

Humanities Problem, God’s Solution

church, Fear, fruit, kingdom of God, love, Religion, trees

When people see a tree, they see the fruit on the tree, the leaves or lack thereof on the tree, they see birds in the tree, the trunk of the tree, they see everything that is above ground and many people respond to what they see above ground. But, people are like trees, it is easy to see, correct, criticize, or compliment what we see on the surface, but what many fail to recognize is the source of the fruit, the leaves, the everything that has to do with a tree. The reason a tree exists is because of the root system that is below the ground. So, when you see bad fruit, it is important to recognize that the real issue is the root, not the fruit. If you can identify the root issue, you will see a change in the fruit issue. (Mark 8:24/Matthew 12:33).
Religion, including Christianity, which has in many ways has become a religion, looks to pluck fruit. Don’t drink, don’t smoke, don’t swear, don’t touch, don’t whatever, is easier to say because then you only have to deal with the fruit. But discipleship is about dealing with the root, so our fruit changes. If we can identify the root that is producing the fruit, we will see new fruit grow. God is always after the root, for He knows the issue is a root one, not a fruit one. On the verge of the greatest harvest the world has ever know, I hear the Lord calling people to “come here, come to Me!” Not those who are not saved yet, but those who already are saved. Humanities problem, whether believer or unbeliever, Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu or any other religion you want to name, the problem is yes sin, but the root issue is fear (Romans 3:23). We as people have a fear problem. We try to cover it up with money, marriage, ministry, or a myriad of other things, but the issue still remains, the root is still revealing the fruit of striving, struggle, anxiety, stress, etc. Humanities root problem, when you get to the root is fear. Just like Adam and Eve, we hide the root issues, and just try to change the fruit, but we must allow the uprooting, so we can start producing lasting fruit.
But, God, who is not without understanding of the human condition, from creation to the book of Revelation, has a solution. The answer, the only answer to fear is perfect love. Anywhere you have a fear, any fear of anything or anyone is an indicator of a place where perfect love has not penetrated us. Fear is an indicator of a need for love, not for food, sex, money, ministry or any of these other remedies we try. The only cure for fear is love, perfect love.
I John 4:18 “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
So, humanities problem is fear, but God’s solution is perfect love, it’s that simple. If we want to live fearless, we do not need to be more brave, more wealthy, more popular, more anything, we need to heed the call to, “Come Here!” Revelation 3:20 “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” It is an invitation to Christians, not unbelievers. It is a call to intimacy, to fellowship, to listening, to loving, to being healed, to partnership, to relationship. The Lord is building a bridal company, He is coming back for a bride, which means we must turn to a man. If you want to be a success in the kingdom, you must be a bride, it is Mary who chose the better portion, not Martha. Sit down with Jesus, yes He is man, yes men have hurt you, but He is Jehovah Rapha, He, the man is healing; He is Jehovah Jireh, He the man is provision; He is the I AM and He wants a relationship with you, but you must turn to a man, if you want to live without fear, for He is a man and He is perfect love. Come Here! Is God’s solution to man’s problem.

Knot in Wood

Christianity, Exposing, faith, Knots, maturity, Religion, Trials, Trust

Image It has been a while since I was consistently writing my blog posts and the reason for that is due to a  job situation that was draining, I did not have the energy to communicate what God has been showing me. However, I have been convicted by the truth that when we withhold revelation God gives us, it keeps people enslaved and what we sow we will reap. So, I am going to freely share what the Lord shares with me, hoping it will liberate you as it has been and continues to liberate me. So, I am back and will not retreat again. Thanks for your understanding, I have missed you all so much and am ready to run and keep on running.

This morning, while I was doing my prayer time on the back patio, the Lord began to highlight for me a knot that was loose in the fence connected to my house. I went over, took the knot out and began to look at it, the Lord said, look up what a knot is. So, that is what I did and this is what I learned, thanks to Wikipedia.com.

Knot in wood is a particular type of imperfection that affects the technical properties of the wood, usually for the worst. The knot appears as a rough circular solid, that is usually darker than the rest of the wood. The grain of the wood all flows in one direction, but the grain flows around the knot, because the direction of the knots grain is 90 degrees different from the grain of the rest of the wood. A knot is a base of a side branch or a dormant bud, which is a flower that did not bloom. Dead branches produce knots which are not intimately attached to the tree. Knots affect cracking and warping in the material and are the cause for defects which weaken lumber and lower its value for structural purposes. The weakening is much more serious when forces produce tension or pressure, however, knots which appear near the end of the beam do not weaken it and a forest grown tree does not produce knots.

As I was reading about knots in wood, my spirit was jumping around with understanding, revelation and conviction. Knots in wood are like character flaws in our life. They weaken us, others have to flow around us, because we are out of sync with others. And when trials come into our lives, we can’t handle the pressure and we weaken the whole team, all because we were unwilling to deal with the knots in our own lives. As we listen to the news, read the paper, open our email, scan the internet, we realize this is a season of revealing the knots in peoples lives, publically. Presidents, politicians, pastors, leaders, are all being exposed for their knots that have been left undealt with. As I listen to various prophetic voices, they are saying that God is removing all idols from our lives, He is exposing the dark places in our lives, He is purifying His church and His people. Then just this morning Prophetess Brenda Todd said, whatever corrupt practices financially you are doing, whatever immoral behavior you are engaged in, stop it, stop it now! She was adamant, that we need to deal with the knots in our lives.

One thing the Lord has been revealing to me is that He is working on the infrastructure of people’s lives, churches, nations, etc. If the infrastructure is not sound, knot free, it will not be able to handle the pressure of prosperity, promotion, persecution, the presence of God. If God poured out everything He is promising to us, and we have knots in our lives, the pressure will reveal those knots and people will have to flow around us, but we will weaken the whole. I know some people polish knots and say they add character to the design, but God says, I want to remove the knots from your lives. When I removed the knot from the wood in our fence, it left a whole, as I looked at it, I realized if there is a whole in our lives, we are always looking for a way to fill it as fast as possible so no one can see our hole, but the Lord said, He will fill the whole with new wood, where the knot was removed. When God fills our holes, we are stronger than ever before.

There are two major moves coming on the earth, one is a move of God like we have never experienced before, it is going to be worldwide and the harvest is going to be enormous. So, God is building infrastructure in those who will carry His glory to the nations. In addition there is another move coming as well and it is an increase of wickedness. The enemy is going to launch an assault that is unprecedented in history, it is going to bring persecution like we have not seen before. Now with that said, both are going to come with pressure, glory is heavy (you know the song the weight of your glory fall on us, glory is a weighty thing); and wickedness is heavy as well. So, our infrastructure must be strong as individuals, companies, churches, families, communities, nations. The removal and exposure of knots is for the strengthening of our infrastructure, not for shaming us before others. I want to close with the following verse, I hope with this post as your context, this verse sheds some new light.

James 1:2-4 “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
