church, kingdom of God, Nathanael, Religious System, Revelation knowledge

John 1:48 “Nathanael said to Jesus, How do you You know me? (How do You know these things about me?) Jesus answered him, Before Phillip called you, when you were still under the fig tree, I saw you.”

I have been reading John 1 for the past week, missing for many years, the treasures that lie within, due to the need to speed read, as though quantity is more valuable than quality. One of the gifts the kingdom has given me is the ability to mine the word of God for treasures that are missed. The price of revelation knowledge is time, it takes time to listen, time to learn, time to hear what the Lord is saying, not what theology has said. While mining John 1, I met Nathanael, one of the disciples of Jesus and what I have found is speaking not only to me, but I believe to many in the remnant, who have found the kingdom.

Nathanael was an authentic Israelite, he was learned in the Law and the Prophets, he was possibly Scribe or Pharisee material. But Nathanael was overlooked, passed by, not seen by the system. As I was studying this, I realized yet again, how the system does not see people, it does not value authenticity, and it does not want to be exposed. The system’s main objectives are to control, to be followed without asking questions, to use people for the system’s purpose. So, with a possible call to ministry on his life, but a system that could not see him, for whatever reason, Nathanael, never stopped studying, never stopped being authentic, but was also never seen. How do I come to believe this, because of what he said, when Jesus encountered him. “Nathanael answered, Teacher, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel.” (John 1:49) Jesus told Nathanael, I see you and Nathanael said, you must be God.

I have met many people, that the system does not see, but God sees them. They may not know they are seen, as they sit under their fig tree and spend time in the Word and prayer, in worship and loving others, but God sees them. I believe there are many reading this that have felt like they are not seen. They have a message in their belly, they have a call on their life, they have a passion in their soul, but they have not been seen by the system. I am here to say, this is a blessing. If the system sees you, it will use you to keep the system going, but if God sees you…! When you realize God sees you, you will know it, for you like Nathanael will declare, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!

Immediately after Jesus saw Nathanael and Nathanael saw Jesus as God, Jesus said to Nathanael, “Because I said to you, I saw you beneath the fig tree, do you believe in and rely on and trust in Me? You shall see greater things that this. I assure you most solemnly I tell you all, you shall see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man! When Jesus sees us, we see Him and then we get to see greater things. Powerful!

Jesus wants you to know…I See You!

Destruction Detox

Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are.” (NLT)

I was in a conversation with my husband last night about the differences between the kingdom of God and religion. During this conversation the Lord spoke to me and said, “It is time for a destruction detox”. As I meditated on this statement all night long, I began to see how much destruction theology is in religion. Now religion in this context is not Pharisees, but rather Christianity, for spirit-filled believers along with tradition or orthodox believers all have a destruction theology, whether we realize it or not. It is actually the air we breathe in the world. Just watch the news one time, bad news sells, good news does not, that is why all they report on is the bad news.

Destruction theology is everywhere from our understanding of the 4 Blood Moons, to our ideas of the rapture. Many Christians believe and have been taught that we are going to fly away one day and escape this evil corrupt world that is going to be destroyed by fire, so the Lord can make a new earth. I know the verses in I Thessalonians, Revelation and Jude where it speaks of these things, but again it is our obsession with destruction theology and the Lord said, “It is time for a destruction detox.”

Pastor Steve Gray of World Revival Church in Kansas City, MO said, “Our God is one of restoration not destruction.” God is not interested in people, nations, races being destroyed, but rather in them being restored. So, any “destruction” we may think is happening, is actually a set up for divine restoration. This does not mean there is no judgement of sin, consequences for choices or even fire for the sake of purification, but it does mean that if those things are deployed it is for restoration of the earth, a person, a nation or a race, not for their destruction.

“It is time for destruction detox” says the Lord. He is a good good Father, He promises us we will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! He is for us and not against us, we are the sheep of His pasture! And in the words of my husband Pastor Amos Great, “The gospel is really good news!” So let’s surrender to the destruction detox, then the Lord can release to us, every perfect gift that is coming down from above. I know good news does not sell, but freely we have received, so freely we are to give good news, not sell it. Once we are detoxed of all destruction, then we can begin to release to good news to everyone we meet and love will win, for we allowed God to do a destruction detox in our lives.

Who’s In Charge, Really?

Christianity, Created, Image, In Charge, kingdom of God, maturity

Genesis 1:27-28 “So God created people in his own image; God patterned them after himself; male and female he created them. God blessed them and told them, “Multiply and fill the earth and subdue it.”

When God created humanity, male and female, every human being, He commanded us to be in charge, but in charge of what? In charge of the earth. As human beings we are given the command to be in charge of the earth. When Jesus died on the cross and went to hell, He came back with the keys of the kingdom, what are these keys? They are for human beings to be restored back to the original plan of God, which is for us to be in charge of the earth. Now the earth is under our control, at least it is supposed to be. So, why are the vast majority of Christians not in charge, if this is a command from God?

I believe we are not in charge, because we don’t know how to be in charge. We think we know how to do something’s, but for many that is even iffy. Most people second guess themselves, because they do not see the evidence of what they think they have faith for (Hebrews 11:1) or what they are called to do. If the lack of confidence was not enough to deal with, we have to add the self-deception (Galatians 6:1) that we have bought into which will not allow us to face the reality of how much we are really a slave to. So, how do we restore, or get back to God’s original command to us, which is to be in charge?

We need to start with repentance! We need to repent of a powerless mindset, one that says, we can’t, we shouldn’t, we won’t. If you listen to Christians speak, you realize how powerless they feel over their situation, but we are not powerless, we are the most powerful people on the face of the earth. However, to be powerful, we must repent, we must change the way we think, Jesus said, repent, for the kingdom of heaven is here. Well, the same words He is saying today, the kingdom of heaven is here, right now on earth, and unless we repent, we are going to miss it. So, to start you have to repent, to do that you must read the Bible and believe it. Many people listen to the word of God, but very few learn from it, that is why we are powerless.

So, here is the entry point for being in charge, we must learn to be in charge of ourselves, before we are going to be in charge of a family, a city, a nation, a company or a church. You and I have to realize we are not a slave to our choices, we are in charge of our choices. We are not slaves to our emotions, we are in charge of our emotions, we are not slaves to our money, we are in charge of our money, we are not slaves to our appetites, we are in charge of our appetites, at least we are supposed to be.

John 8:32 says, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free!” In the movie A Few Good Men, Tom Cruise says, “you can’t handle the truth.” You have a choice, are you going to face the truth that someone other than you is in charge, that is why you are driven by _______________ or a slave to ____________________, and repent so you can start being in charge. Or are you going to live in the perpetual self-deception, believing something that is not in the Bible, because you can’t handle the truth?

The question remains….who’s in charge, really?

Water for the Soul

Communication, Family, Husbands, Soul, Water, Wives

Ephesians 5:25-27 “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.…”

Women if we are honest with ourselves, the number one thing we long for in our marriages, friendships, life is communication. Men have been pounded with this request for years from their wives, their mothers, their girlfriends, their sisters, and their daughters. But have you ever wondered why communication is so important to a woman? It is not primarily because they want to be in the know, but that is a by-product of communication; it is not because they don’t trust you, at least for many of us that is not the reason; the reason women long for communication is two-fold, #1 because they are created in the image of God and He longs for it as well and #2 because it waters their soul.

Communication is water to our souls!

God understands that communication is water to our souls, which is why He is a God that speaks to us. He understands that if He is silent, our souls will shrivel up and die. He gave us His word so whenever we are wondering what He is thinking, we can just open the word and if we read long enough He will speak, for He loves to communicate. When people are dry spiritually, it is because they are thirsty to hear His voice. God uses communication to water our souls, which is why He speaks to us, so we can live. 3 John 2 says, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” God created us to need communication so our souls stay watered and we prosper.

Not only does God communicate with us for our prosperity of soul, but He wants us to communicate with Him as well. This is why we pray and worship, for our communication with God waters His soul, just as His communication with us, waters ours.

So, if you are struggling in your relationship with God or with each other, it is highly probable there is a drought happening and the way to break that is by communicating. For God uses our wet words to break droughts, stop famines, heal marriages, bridge gaps, reconcile relationships, rescue the lost, and heal the sick. Open your mouth and water the soul of those in your life, you will be amazed at how they come alive.

church, Kingdomf of God, miracles, Rejoicing, Resentment

For weeks, months and even years it has been prophesied, proclaimed and promised that it is about to rain. Promotions, positioning, and prosperity are beginning in people’s lives. It has accelerated, in the sense that it seems like it is beginning to happen to more and more people on a daily basis. The prophesied kingdom of God age has went from being in hiding to manifesting, from a prophesy to a reality. Testimonies are coming from everywhere, about God openly rewarding His people, manifesting His kingdom and pouring out His blessing. The year of the open window is sending down some really good and perfect gifts into people’s lives.

When we hear of testimonies of debt cancellation, ministry promotion, movement of people and the advancement of the kingdom, it is evidence that it has begun to rain. In my circle alone, in the past two weeks, I have been told of debt cancellation of two very close friends, one having a student loan cancelled of $70,000, another having a house and other debt cancelled of over $100,000. Then I got word that someone else I know was given a medical bill cancellation of over $100,000; while yet another person was blessed with being declared cancer free. I had the privilege of praying with some of these people for some of these very specific desires of their heart. So, I rejoice with them in their breakthrough.

What I didn’t see coming was the choice I was going to be given in hearing each of these testimonies after my initial rejoicing. What most don’t know, is I have been asking for debt cancellation of my house loan and student loan. So, when two close friends received those blessings, I rejoiced at first, but the opportunity to resent them reared its ugly head, unbeknownst to me. The invitation to question God why He blessed them and not me, presented itself to me. I had a choice to make.

In the season of breakthrough, debt cancellation, long awaited prayers being answered, for some their mourning has been turned to dancing, for others they are still waiting. I want to speak to us that are still waiting, we have an opportunity to rejoice with those who rejoice, just as we mourned with those who mourned. I believe, the smallest details are important to God, and He is allowing this breakthrough in others to show us how much we have learned about His goodness, even while we are still waiting.

We who are still waiting have a choice, we can resent those who got the breakthrough we are praying for or we can rejoice knowing that it has started to rain. Whichever we choose to do, there will be a reward for our decision, I choose to rejoice with them, even as I still wait, what are you going to choose to do?

The Sound of Heaven Touching Earth

Christianity, Rejocing, Sound, Wedding, worship

Every Thursday night we have a corporate prayer meeting at our church and last night we were singing the song by Kim Walker Smith called Spirit Break Out. One of the lines in that song caught my attention and became the inspiration for this blog post today. The lyrics of the first verse are Our Father, all of Heaven roars Your name; Sing louder, let this place erupt with praise; Can you hear it, the sound of Heaven touching Earth; The sound of Heaven touching Earth. As I sang the line which says, can you hear it, the sound of heaven touching earth, I asked the Lord what does this sound like? The answer He gave me brought a smile to my face.

Have you ever wondered what it would sound like if heaven touched earth? We all have our thoughts, opinions and even ideas about what this would sound like and most of it comes from how we have been taught. For me, in my own mind, I would have thought, it would sound like weeping as people see their sin in light of the glory of God. It would be the sound of repentance, grief, etc. This was my thought of what it would sound like. You may have a similar or different thought, but our thoughts are not His thoughts, of which I am forever grateful.

The Lord told me last night that the sound of heaving touch earth sounds like rejoicing. He said it sounds like laughter, dancing, celebration, joy unspeakable. Honestly, I was surprised by this, for as I shared, I always thought it would be tears, not laughter, mourning not rejoicing, but the Lord made it very clear to me last night, that the sound will be one of celebration. As I have been thinking on this thought, I remembered what Eric Johnson of Bethel Church in Redding, CA says, “We are headed to a wedding, so there is much reason to rejoice!”

Revelation 19:1 says, “I heard what sounded like a mighty shout of a great crowd in heaven, exclaiming Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God!” Revelation 19:6-7 says, “I heard what sounded like the shout of a vast throng, like the boom of many pounding waves, and like the roar of terrific and mighty peals of thunder, exclaiming, Hallelujah! For now the Lord our God the Omnipotent reigns! Let us rejoice and shout for joy! Let us celebrate and ascribe to Him glory and honor, for the marriage supper of the Lamb has come and His bride has prepared herself.”

Then I was reminded of what the Lord showed me in worship while at Bethel Church in Redding, CA at the Prophetic Conference. He showed me “The Great Room” in heaven, and out of it came the sound of saints rejoicing, it was like no sound I have ever heard, as the multitudes gave praise to our God. It was a place of great rejoicing, so when the Lord said the sound of heaven touching earth is joy unspeakable, celebration, rejoicing, laughter, dancing, I began to smile for the days of death and destruction are over and the kingdom of God is releasing the sound of heaven touching earth.
